After months of planning, preparation, and work behind the scenes, we are excited to announce the FJR Group is now open for business in Edinburgh.
Our Edinburgh-based team will be led by accomplished technology recruiter Steven Tierney. With more than 15 years of experience and a track record of building long-lasting business relationships in the Edinburgh market, Steven is the perfect manager to lead our newest location. Steven is joined by Jessica Roberts, who also brings several years of experience recruiting UI/UX/CX roles in Edinburgh’s vibrant tech scene.
Our new Edinburgh division will work closely with our Technology Regional Director Mario Michaels. Based in Manchester, Mario has rapidly grown our technology division since joining the business in October 2020, leading the team to 7 record months whilst adding 6x talented technology recruiters to the business.
Steven, Jessica, and Mario will be supported by our Managing Partner and former Edinburgh local, Max Learmonth. Max has a great understanding of the Edinburgh market and recently explained why Edinburgh was the logical place for the next phase of our expansion.
“Edinburgh remains one of the UK’s largest technology hubs with the highest number of verified start-ups outside of London, and those start-ups raised a collective £345 million in VC funding alone in 2020. On top of that 31% of all job roles advertised over the last 6 months were in technology. So, with that in mind, our business launch will focus on technology in the first instance.”
Edinburgh is our fourth location following Manchester, London, and our Chicago launch earlier this year. Opening Chicago and Edinburgh offices mark a big year for the FJR Group as we also celebrate our 10-year anniversary since launch in 2011.
Over the last decade, we have grown our team and expanded our service offering whilst building brands within Finance, Technology, Human Resources, and Executive recruitment. Our mission has remained true since day one – to build the best recruitment firm to work for. Not necessarily the biggest, fastest-growing or profitable, but the absolute best place to work within global recruitment.
