This season we’re tackling the subject of well-being, dispelling the rumours and getting advice from people who’ve done the research, been through the worst of it and seen real success from the strategies they’ve implemented.
17th April @ 10am
Manchester Airport
We’ve decided to put lengthy presentations and monotone speakers behind us. This agenda has been put together with ‘short and sweet’ in mind. Our speakers have been handpicked to keep you engaged, allowing you to take in as much information as possible. There will be breakfast refreshments, a chance to chat, presentations and a Q&A panel.
The speakers are the most important element in any event, and this is no exception.

Franky Rousell
Franky will be joining our Q&A panel and brings a different perspective to this event. As co-founder of Jolie Studio, her works focuses on the impact our environment has on our well-being, and looks at everything from colours and smells to textures and temperatures. Her ideas stem from her own personal experience of hospitals and rehabilitation centres and have now developed into a powerful interior design concept, particularly around offices and corporate space.
Franky has a background in technical architecture, and spent 4 years at the forefront of the design function for Bruntwood, so she is well-equipped to add another dimension to our exploration of well-being in the workplace.
At Frazer John, we’ve worked with thousands of professionals in the HR sector, as well as CEOs and Senior Management across all industries, and we’ve seen first-hand the struggles they face. And let us tell you, there’s not a single business or industry that doesn’t need to work on their employees’ well-being.
A recent article by thehrdirector.com looks at the impact of UK employers neglecting mental health of stressed out workers. According to a new study by ADP, 31% of UK workers feel that their employer has little or no interest in their mental health.
Managing Director of ADP, Jeff Phipps goes on to say,
“Stress and mental health issues are one of the main causes of employee absence and staff turnover, which means supporting employees isn’t just the right thing to do – it’s also a worthwhile investment. Initiatives should deal with both the causes of stress and mental health issues, but they should also look to improve diversity programmes as a way to support employees. If organisations aren’t catering to diversity, employees’ mental well-being can be impacted if they face particular issues they don’t feel they can raise. Employers should be highly mindful of diversity’s impact and work to create a supportive management culture and a healthy working environment…”
It is this knowledge and concern from within the sector that highlights just how important employee well-being is. And the first step to solving any problem is education, and this event provides just that.
