The Role

Client Services Analysts (Boutique Wealth Management Company): Multiple roles, mid-to-senior levels

FJR Finance are representing a boutique, but a hugely expanding, City of London based Wealth Management company to hire a Client Services Analysts – between x 2 – x 3 roles – all due to business growth!

Our client can boast massive growth over the last few years, in terms of new clients won and onboarded, hiring within Operations, Sales, Finance and Compliance during Lockdown and as a result, work-loads. The company have had their best ever year to date. The role will be a hybrid model of working-from-home and in their offices (likely x 2 – x 3-days in the office, the rest working-from-home).

Our client specialises in Wealth Management services and support Investment funds that trade multi-asset classes such as International Equities, Fixed Income & Unit Trusts. Their clients trade globally and over the last few years, there has been a lot of trading activity in US Equity & Fixed Income markets.

For this reason, the client has had increase work-load and complexity and there is a need to bolster, upgrade and increase in size for their Client Services team. Our client is looking for a mix of Client Services experience, ideally gained from within either the Wealth Management, Asset Management, Stock Broking, or Custody industries; so either:
  1. x 2 – x 3 years Client Services experience.
  1. x 5-years plus.
The nature of the roles are very broad and due to the size of the company, require many different facets. For example:
  • Client Onboarding.
  • Relationship Management.
  • Client Services query management (Complex queries relating to investments and Operational queries that need resolving.
  • Oversight of Project Work/ being involved with related projects.
  • Technical system support.
  • Client Software support.

If someone has a specialist skill in one, or two of the above areas, or simply wants to do an all-around role, the choice is there for you and the workload is there and ever increasing. It is a truly exceptional time to join a growing and innovative company. The Client Services team is constantly, growing, evolving and changing, in line with their increased client base; as well as the diversity of their clients and products traded. This means, our client is looking for innovative, driven and passionate Client Services Analysts to continue their year-on-year growth.

Our client has hired quite a few junior graduate in the last year too; so for the more experienced hire, there is also the opportunity to manage and supervise individuals. Or if you prefer go down the non-managerial route, there are career progression opportunities within the Client Services teams. Is it not mandatory, but any skills within Advanced level Excel, VBA, or any other programming skills, can also be very advantageous, desirable, but not mandatory.
The role will be varied and include:
  • Client account/relationship management
  • Helping to deliver small client projects, e.g. project managing a small software development project
  • Implementation projects, where they will be helping to implement our software for new clients that we take on (we are averaging one new client a month at the moment)
  • Working closely with our Product team to ensure we are developing new functionality that our clients want

Just to re-iterate, If you are interested in a particular area (i.e. implementations, relationship management or product), you can branch out into that area and specialise in it. Our client have several levels in the Client Services team starting from juniors/grads through to senior consultants and management consultants. Loads of opportunity, they are fast growing at the moment and their headcount has increased this year from about 50 last year, to currently at about 75.

They want people with good knowledge of their industry (wealth management) and ideally some technical background, but not essential. You will need to be highly proactive with a positive energetic attitude and willing to speak to clients each day.  


Between £40 k pa - £65 k pa, dependent upon experience, plus bonus, pension, healthcare etc.
