IT Manager - Banking – Remote / London - £75,000 - £95,000

Are you a solution-oriented and personable technology leader with experience in Financial Services? Would you like to join a growing Challenger Bank who recently posted record breaking profits and are looking to scale-up their technology function? Have you remained hands-on whilst leading high performing technology team across Infrastructure, Cyber Security and Core Banking Applications/Systems?

The Role

As the successful candidate you will join this evolving Challenger Bank as IT Manager at a time when the firm look at innovative and creative ways to improve both their service and product offering. The ideal candidate will have performed a leadership role in a similar sized Challenger Bank or Financial Services business and be capable of injecting new ideas, concepts, which as part of a wider strategy, will provide an improved customer experience as well as develop further market share. Reporting into the CTO, the chosen candidate will likely have come from a hands-on, technical background and able to provide guidance and expertise as to how the firm can utilise the latest in cloud technologies and cyber security measures..

This is a rare opportunity to join a soon to be, major player in the banking market as the firm embark on the largest digital transformation in their history.

The role will be fully remote for the foreseeable future but the with need to be able to commute to London when safe to do so.

Your Profile 

• Proven track record in a Banking or Financial Services within a userbase of <500
• You have been part of an IT Leadership Team, helping define strategy, through to delivery. With a proven track record of driving transformational innovation to business processes, services and systems for complex organisations through the effective use of digital, data and technology
• Experience of completing IT audits, including penetration tests
• You have a deep understanding of infrastructure including Active Directory, Group Policy, Virtualisation, and Exchange
• Good understanding of networking including Cisco firewalls and switches
• Adept at managing change across applications ensuring change is handled in accordance with agreed policy
• You keep abreast of the latest cyber security best practices and work with the CTO to ensure the Bank remains secure
• Expert knowledge of backup solutions and how to ensure the Bank’s data remains secure.
• You have outstanding communication and influencing skills, with the ability to manage, engage and collaborate with a wide range of complex stakeholders, building a shared and compelling vision
• An excellent leader of people who improves capability, builds a diverse and inclusive team and exhibits an engaging and adaptable style that connects with people at all levels

Salary & Benefits

In return, the successful candidate will receive a highly competitive salary in the region of £75,000 - £95,000 + bonus + benefits.
