Technical Project Manager

Scrum Master/Project Manager/Delivery Manager - £70,000 - £85,000

FJR Technology
is working with a FinTech start-up that is just out of stealth mode. The aim of the business is to disrupt and democratise the investment world by building a platform that allows anyone from any background to get into the game. The business is well funded, approaching the MVP stage and has been founded by some serious players in the market. This product is going to be the future of investing.

What we are looking for

We currently have the basis for a web application, having kickstarted it through a third-party vendor. The application architecture uses the React framework on the frontend with a Python/Django Rest Framework backend, with data stored in a PostgreSQL database. We’re now looking to build on top of that initial structure in-house and as such, are looking for an experienced SDLC Project Manager/Scrum Master/Delivery Manager to help deliver great technology.

What you’ll do

The role is to manage the delivery of current and future products. The role takes responsibility for the development of high-quality products on a day-to-day basis to agreed timeframes. The role is not hands-on but there is an expectation that some technical understanding is necessary, as is leading the continuous review of development practices, standards and guidelines.

The role will suit a detail-oriented SDLC Project Manager/Scrum Master/Delivery Manager who is passionate about producing great software as well as comfortable with broader thinking, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deliver successfully in a collaborative environment. This role will require exceptional communication and management skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders.

The attitude you’ll bring

  • A passion for technology.
  • An ability to react to changing business needs and embrace start-up uncertainty.
  • A capacity to work as part of a small but diversely skilled start-up team, while also being happy to work on technical projects alone.
  • A commitment to ensuring work and processes are documented and ready for training others.
  • Proven SDLC Project Management skills or Scrum Master experience
